Has it been this long?

I guess so! I haven't been really doing much scraping in the last 6 months except making a few simple cards here and there. My daughter recently turned FIVE and I am still trying to finish her scrapbook for her 1 year old birthday party. I am going to try to do better this year. I did manage to work on some Birthday Invitation card this weekend. Here it is...

Hm... Need to do some editing to remove some info. Will post soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Yea!! It's Chinese New Year yesterday and despite that hubby had to go oversea on business, I decided to dress our little princess up for the occasion. It's been so cold here (10 deg. F and below) that I can't really let her just wear the filmsy dress. So, I match it up with the long sleeve and off she goes. It's so funny that she is really posing for me these days! I told her to pose a pic for her Daddy please, and off she does her thing.

This year is the first year that I decided to show her the Chinese New Year's traditions. Michael and I together show her how to bow and receive her Lucky Red Pocket from us. She had so much fun!! Before I have Briana, I don't think I can ever imagine how much I can love another human being, how much I am willing to sacrifice for. But with Briana, I will do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING to make sure that she is safe and healthy and grow up to be a good person. With her, it changes so much of my feelings towards my mom. I love my mom before, but now, I LOVE my mother!!! I can finally truly appreciate all the things that she has done for me and how many times I have hurt her and she still loves me. Okay, getting too sappy.... anyhow, Happy Chinese New Year!!

Gift from the Heart -

My DD's uncle and aunt's birthdays are coming up and I wanted to be able to give them something that Briana "made" and yet usable for them as Briana's gifts. So, here's my attempt.

The CD tin was from Stampin up. I bought a whole bunch when they were on sale last year to do frames. All we did was we use acrylic paint on my DD's palm and pressed together to resemble a heart. I found it very difficult to direct a 2-1/2 yr old to keep her fingers together for a good print.

Next, for her aunt, I have my DD does palm prints on a bunch of pre-cut cardstock (4" X 3"), the size really depends on your child's hand. She has so much fun painting her palm and being tickish. After it's dried, DD help added googley eyes and a squirt of Stickles as the tail feather to complete the job.
For her uncle though, it's all about fishes. So, repeat the same as above and add stickles for fish lips and Viola, you are done!!

Very weird experience

Well..how do I start. Okay...I took Briana to bed about 7:30pm last night and I was so tired, so I went back to our room after I got her settled in. About 11:30pm, I am in kinda a half asleep mode, I heard what sounds like your foot steps going to the bathroom, opened and closed one of the vanity drawer and then climb back to bed. Of course, when I first heard it, I was like, wait a minute, Hubby is out, who is in here. (But I was not scared, it was more as a matter of fact) Then I felt someone actually lie beside me, I was so mad and I yelled "GET OUT". Now, all this time I can't open my eyes, and then I found that I can't yelled either. A hand then proceed to press against my lower abdomen and start to push harder as I tried to yell louder for "it" to GET OUT. Somehow, in my head, I know it's not a human, it's an "it". Don't know why??? I finally start praying to Jesus and Mary and all out of a sudden, the presence was gone. At this point, I am just jumping MAD. I rushed into Briana's room to make sure the little princess is alright and I told whatever that might still be around to leave this one alone or I will make sure that I will take care of "IT". Ha.. funny now as to what I would have done.. After I was satisfy that Bri is ok, I went back to our bedroom. I stopped by the bathroom and did noticed the drawer where the q-tips are was not closed completely. Now, that might just be nothing for all I know, but I don't recall opening that drawer at all. Anyhow, it all left me kind of puzzled. I watch 15 mins of tv and feel that the house is calm again and went back to sleep. Briana did join me at 3 this morning. She slept till 7:45 this morning... Hopefully, she will catch up with all her sleep before tomorrow!

Anyhow, just strange... Now that everything is done...I am very surprised that I was not scared at all. I was really just mad and upset that whatever it is dare to invade our home!! And the mommy instinct took over to check on Briana and the dogs. I don't know. May be I am just nutz.. Will talk to mom later about this.

Shopping Ban on Cricut

I am such an addict lately. It doesn't help that my friend is also a cricut addict and we are just bad influence on each other. Now that I have over 20 carts, I really should try to use all of them once before I can but another one. So, here it is, I am putting myself on the cricut shopping ban until I have cut something out of each of the carts. :)

Talking about shopping ban, I think I am going to minimize all my other scrapbooking "needs" too, at least until I can.. Hm... okay, at least until I completed Briana's baby album upto and completing the Michigan trip. Go Grace G0!!!

Welcome to Gracie's Diary

Hello all, I planned this little spot for myself and my family. Hoping this spot will help me with keeping things that are memorable to me and my family.

Let me start on this week. First week back to work, and more imporatantly, Briana went back to daycare after almost a whole month. She did exceptionally well, with no drama's at school. My girl is growing up!

We did something special this weekend, we went to visit Uncle Peter. It took Briana good 15 mins to get over her sleephead fuzz and get familiar with the surrounding. Once that's done, she was looking all around the place. Uncle Peter and Tim and so many beautiful fishes. Both fresh and marine, I can't wait to start my own. knowing fully though that my tank would not be as extravagant as theirs as they have invested a lot of money into the marine tank. But Peter was so sweet to give me a head start of my marine tank adventure, a wonderful aquarium that is designed to facililate a marine aquarium. This is going to be great. He has loan me a couple books to read and get started. Hurray!!

On another front, I am getting closer to reorganizing my scrap area. I think I really need ot be good and go on a shopping ban. Definately no more cricut stuff until at least March! Okay, that's it, I am determined!

Alright, gotta go and spend time with my sweet Briana...
